The Edge of the Wold

Kent estuary from Arnside Station

I hadn't intended to blip today, but I took the camera with me as I went to catch the train from Arnside en route to Telford for a 2 day meeting.

I was a little early so there was time to go and admire the view up the Kent estuary. I have often looked up here in the afternoons when I have been picking up Caroline from the train, but in the harder afternoon light it isn't so photogenic. This morning though, the dew was still lying heavy on the grass and the hills were still emerging from the morning mist. I've never noticed this isolated post before, it was the gull that drew my attention.

So there you are, the sequence is still unbroken despite what I said two days ago. That's fine, the photo was of the moment, uncontrived and unlooked for, that's how I want my blips to be.

As it is I was away from home and unable to upload the photo until the following day (Thursday). The shame is that backblips generally get seen so few times.
