I live in the village of Arnside at the southern end of Cumbria. Arnside is on the south side of Kent Estuary that flows into Morecambe Bay. Many of my photographs come from close to home or where I work in Kendal, though I do occasionally venture beyond into the Lake District, and more occasionally beyond that.

Since starting blipping in July 2010 I have become a little obsessed by light, shadows and reflections. The world is a different place. The photos reflect my interests: primarily wildlife and wild places. People do occasionally feature, but I lack any natural aptitude for people pictures - perhaps I should try harder.

I am married to Caroline (known as Wifie) and we have a black cat called Bob. Gladders is an old school nickname, my real name is Paul.
