About hibernating

I've lived in this northern, mining town for over thirteen years and have been complaining about not ever seeing anything of interest. There are no historical sites, we have deep winter for seven months out of every year and once you see one stunted, northern Canadian tree...... well, you know the drill. But there must be a great deal of beauty around me, so this may force me to open my eyes and see it.
My favourite subject is my dog Fenway, but I also have a tendency to take tons of photos of trees and clouds, so those might show up here in alarming numbers.

I spend a great deal of time here getting lost in dreams of faraway places and scenes. I don't always comment because sometimes words fail me, but I appreciate all the insight and skill that goes into these blips. Wish there was a "like" button to show appreciation when words are not enough.
