About Holly Rowan Hesson
I'm currently using Blipfoto to explore immediacy - each image is a quick shot taken as I find a compelling opportunity using only my camera phone.
I'm a visual artist currently studying a Masters in Contemporary Fine Art.
My practice comprises non-figurative painting and abstract photography. I am finding that experimenting across these disciplines is creating interesting and often unexpected connections and challenges.
My work explores discovery, change, distortion and manipulation. The fusion of painting and photography within the process of my work creates a circular practice, rich with creative possibility.
Ultimately I want my images to affect myself and the viewer, to affect physically, to absorb, to envelop, to immerse or at the very least to intrigue.
I also help creative people with their social media marketing.
