showtime

The ‘sold out’ sticker on the poster is both welcome and scary.  Welcome because the Milton Keynes Community Cardiac Group gets some much needed funds and scary because over half the audience have come to support them and have no idea who the band are.

It’s the first time I’ve ever organised something like this so I’m little bit nervous - not just because of the responsibility of booking the venue, selling the tickets, making sure the band turn up, making sure the audience turn up and making sure everyone has a good time - the real pressure is on because it’s also a blipmeet.

Blacktulip, JohnRH, Hildasrose, Chantler, Flossie and Tiedmark are all threatening to elbow their way to get to the front of the mosh pit.  Now there’s a thought.

Anyone who’s played in a band will know that the 2-hour set is the shortest part of the evening - sandwiched between a couple of hours setting up and then packing away afterwards.  Before traveling home.

It’s now just gone 5 o’clock and it’s going to be a long night.  Time to get the show on the road.
