@gblrps: This is an example of how the camera can sometimes completely lie, or at least make us humans misread the photograph.
The couple is not reacting to some horrifying news from the woman in blue as it would seem. Rather, the woman in blue is about to take a picture of the couple and they are both looking (rather awkwardly) at the painting behind them (created by the young woman) so they can figure out where best to stand.
I burst out laughing when I saw what I had captured.
