Monday 31 March 2014: Cold Platter

Peter's bookstore event was taking place between 8 and 10.45 so it wasn't possible to get dinner either before of after. The hotel didn't do room service but the head waiter said it would be possible for him to put together a cold platter and leave it in our room before he finished up for the night. We arrived back at 11pm to find these fantastic plates with prawn mousse, smoked salmon, foie gras with fig conserve, cold meats, cheeses, and rocket salad. Home baked rolls, Breton butter, wine and even a couple of yoghurts, completed the feast. Gotta love France!
