Frome Festival - Day 1

Day One of the Frome Festival and I went to the Web Of Life Community Art Project at the old Sun Street Chapel. This exhibition features work from professional artists (mainly local), local school children, home-educated families from Frome and residents of local care homes, all on an 'Eco' theme, including some beautiful photographs and some very thought-provoking Eco poetry.

Not everything in this exhibition appealed to me. The dyptych on the left hand wall, just below the stained glass windows, is priced at £25,000 (I didn't buy it) and yes, that is a purple coffin you can see through the railings: tomorrow, there will be a funeral procession for the world's extinct animals.

For the most part though, it was well worth visiting, and I picked up some very interesting information about walks and talks run by the East Mendip Area Group of the Somerset Wildlife Trust.
