Tuesday 11 January 2011: Guthrie's Path looking east to Binny Craig
I had a 5 mile cross country run this afternoon. It was one of those life affirming afternoons where the visibility was crystal clear. I ran up Cockleroy in Beecraigs Country Park and the views were amazing. I could clearly see Goatfell on Arran which is 77 miles away as the crow flies.
This shot is taken on Guthrie's path which runs due East/West for about a mile and a half and borders the South side of Beecraigs country park. The strong sunshine just lit up the pine trees.
As ever it looks better bigger.
On a day like today the views from here are beautiful. Arthurs seat in Edinburgh and the Pentland hills can be clearly seen. On a weekday it feels like you have the park to yourself as visitors are so few.
