Tuesday 7 August 2012: "That'll be 9 o'clock, then."

The comment from a local as these four fighter jets roared overhead at 9pm as part of the Edinburgh Tattoo tonight.

I think - 2 Tornados (sides) and 2 Typhoons (front and back)

I hoped that I would get a photo of the jets flying over the Castle with the flag flying, but they don't actually fly over the castle - it seems to be over the Grassmarket, or maybe even a bit further South. I might try to find a better vantage point for tomorrow night.
