Monday 9 May 2011: Celebrate Buddha

Tomorrow is Buddha's birthday celebration in Korea. We missed the annual Lotus Lantern Festival in Seoul that we've gone to every year that we've been here for it. But I have this beautiful lantern hanging on my balcony from last year's festival.
I am thankful for the public holiday tomorrow-- on a selfish note. But I will stop and appreciate Buddha's messages of peace and love to the world.
