When I first joined Blipfoto, it was my intent it should be some kind of visual journal, recording a very difficult and traumatic period in my life. It has served that purpose very well.

A couple of years into this journal, life was less traumatic, less difficult. I think my images at that time started show that.

As life continues to toss new challenges and new opportunities, I have responded and grown. I love that this journal has been a part of that transition.

I should be clear, this journal is really meant mainly for me. It is something I do for myself. If someone should find something here they like or can relate to or be challenged by (whatever), well that's all very nice. But that has not been my intent.

A warning - If you happen to look back on my portfolio, be prepared for a bit of anguish. It's all rather personal. Maybe a little self indulgent. But it *is* me. It is where I was, what I went through, what I saw, experienced. At times I would love to delete a lot of this journal, but it is a very important document to me. So for now, I feel it's important to leave it as it is.
