Sunday 7 March 2010: Canal walk on a lovely day

It was perfect weather for a walk on the canal. I wallked on the Union Canal from Fountainbridge to Slateford, then down onto the water of Leith to home (8miles). I used to walk about a dozen miles most Saturdays and the same on a Sunday, then in winter 2008 I was knocked down by a car. It took a long while to be fully recovered and in that time I seemed to lose the walking habit, infact I didn't like to go out of the house. This year I have started to force myself to go walking and sometimes its been okay but today's walk made me feel really happy.
