Monday 20 May 2013: Canon Do Sil

Canon Do Sil is the Spanish smaller version of the American Grand Canyon. I followed the 60 km long route along breathtaking roads. Roads not wide enough to let two cars pass. I love it. Halfway between Vigo and Ourense the terrain is getting higher and higher and suddenly a hailstone shower hit me unexpectedly. I can assure you that, without a closed helmet, half an inch hailstones are the best motorcycle brakes you can think of when your speed is 120 km/hr plus. It was like someone shooting with a machinegun at me. But that didn't do any harm to the beautiful memories I have of Canon Do Sil.
