Saturday 11 February 2012: All choked up

Cleaned my Browning O/U shotgun this morning. This is a close up of the 'business' end. The gold cylinders are chokes. They are interchangeable for a purpose.

Different chokes restrict or expand the shot pattern coming out of the gun. This allows for different patterns depending on distance to the target.

I use different chokes for skeet and trap to improve accuracy. I've probably told you more than you wanted to know!
