I'm a 31yr old mom of 2 beautiful children. Dana who is 13yr old and Taylor who is 7yr old. Taylor was diagnosed with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) in October 2007 which wasn't really a surprise to us, but still a shock to the system! Since 2007 we have come a long way, all-be-it a long and winding road with lots of obsitcles in our way, but we've gotten over them non-the-less and I like to think that I have come out of it a better person. I am a lot more patient than I used to be, definately a lot more forgiving and a hell of a lot more confident. Now-a-days if I have something to say, I will usually say it.

I've set this Photo Journal up as I love taking photo's (although I'm not that good at it and my camera's aren't that fantastic) to remind me that there are more to people & things than meets the eye and remind myself that if you look hard enough you can ALWAYS find at least 1 good thing to make you smile on a bad day!

The reason behind the name of this Journal is in the title (Autism & Us!) but I also changed it because it's the name of my ASD & Us Blog
