Sunday 19 May 2013: Happiness is...
The day began fairly early despite me getting home at 1.30am, I have felt really tired today, but somehow have managed to stay awake until now (10pm!) I somehow think I will sleep well tonight!
We got up and after a little while my mate Lorna turned up with her son (Adam) and his friend Zak, who were over to teach Mr W some flips on the trampoline and also ride with them at the BMX track just down the road. They had a great time, meanwhile we got on in the bedroom trying to clear a path through all my washing. I am not sure Lorna was quite ready to see the state that the bedroom had become while I was decorating (I am normally the person who does the housework, so if I am working or decorating, nothing gets done!)
Anyway, she was worn out and I was knackered by the time we finished. Mr Moo cooked a yummy roast dinner which we all enjoyed, then Lorna went home and my parents turned up. We did some work getting the girls' room more habitable (basically so they could move back in and get some better rest before school). Mr Moo and I then popped into Stevenage and bought a few new bits for the room, we still can't find a nice shelf, but we did manage to get the boys a lightshade and Miss C a zebra patterned lamp to match her wallpaper.
As we hadn't done much with the children I suggested that we took them out for a bike ride as the sun went down, they jumped at the idea and had a fab time. We also got to try out the GoPro Hero camera I won by strapping it onto Mr Moo and controlling the shutter with the iPhone. Great fun!
