Friday 30 July 2010: Windy Bay
Today I had the day off from work. I did go in to work a couple of times to let a temporary worker into our office since the campus is closed on Fridays. Other than that, I was able to get several things done around my home.
After hubby got off work, we took a drive to Winchester Bay. It was really foggy there, but very charming looking in the fog. We had a really nice dinner at a little seafood cafe that we had never eaten at before.
Looks best in large.
A few more photos I took.
I hope everyone has a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by.

Oooooh, this is nice. Can feel the cold, damp silence of that fog.
Brrrrrr!

It sure looks BEST in large..i love it! The sea is so still and the fog..adds so much mystery to the scene..

Beautiful! The weather here is just dull and overcast but I practised with the monochrome setting on my camera yesterday just incase I spot something interesting today.

Wow that's some serious fog!
Really cool monochrome. It looks timeless. I am amazed at how still the water is. I really like the other dock shot in the flickr set too.
Nice work!

Super shot. The fog weaves magic there.

You have really worked the fog to your advantage here; beautiful monochrome images.

Great shot. The composition is great and well done in b&w. Fog is not easy to get, especially with the contrast and exposure. Love the light and reflections on the water too.
Well done!

Very clean still shot...the inner black lines work very well with the black of the blip frame.

oh i'd submitted a comment but now that i came back it's not. i guess i forgot to press the button, haha. so i'll redo it.
excellent blip, i love the atmosphere and the reflections, the framing is also superb. just a bit increasing the contrast would add to its dramatic look!

Stunning shot! The fog plus B&W work well here in creating atmosphere.

A beautiful scene and I think black and white is good in this one. The water is smooth, barely a ripple anywhere, the fog is thick and hanging in the treetops, lovely to see but am not sure I'd want to be there.
