Tuesday 1 June 2010: Flowerful

This is the flower I was intending to take a photo of the other day. I had seen them at the side of the driveway before this one opened up, and the 'pod', as I called it, was so solid that I wondered what was going to come out of it. Next day suddenly this huge red flower had opened up, its petals all fine and creased from being cooped up. I'm looking forward to its friends making an appearance!
