  1. For some reason I`ve got this image of you in my head saying to the bike
`Look this way, handlebars down a bit, just push that front wheel out a bit further, super pose`
Think I need to go to bed.........................................

  2. This is a beautiful picture. I love the color of the bike against the landscape. Good Job...

  3. Lovely composition and the bike provides the colour of contrast to make it a delightful photo.

  5. Is that a set of Mary bars? I tried them for a short while but when the going got properly rough there was just something about them that didn't quite click for me - changed back to a wide riser.

Have you ridden a 29er before? Just wondering what it's like - had a craving at one point for a Singular 29er - torn between that and a Larry v Harry Cargobike at the mo (all hypothetical choices gives finances of course!).

  6. @anth
they're actually fleegle bars and the thing i like the least about the bike. they look like they're on upside down with their (almost?) negative rise. i prefer riding them at night when i can't see their ugliness!

i have mary bars on my singlespeed - the only mountainbike i've ridden for the last few years - and had them on my cotic before that. i like them. they are especially suited to hauling on the bars uphill on a SS.

i plan to write a review next week when i've used it a bit more - i'll blog it but you're welcome to use it in the mag if you're interested.

it is my first experience of a 29er and so far i love it. the smoothness, the momentum it seems to carry are great. i'd like to try it with some bounce up front and then on some more challenging terrain, but for now (commuting off-road across a pretty wild country park and through woodland singletrack) it is great.

those larry/harrys look ace. 'we' hope to become pregnant soon, i'm looking for something like this or a big dummy for baby carrying duties...

  7. Excellent, would be more than happy to use anything for cc.

Hmmm, might have to get me a shot of a 29er - it struck me as the perfect bike for the type of riding I did with Mel before her back played up. Singlespeed, with slightly chunky tyres for off-road paths, but big rollers for easy momentum...

    I need a bigger garage/more money.

  8. brilliant composition and a amazing scene perfectly captured!
