Monday 19 November 2012: Friendship

Today am thankful for.....
Friends who brighten my life and my hospital room, that are working hard to bring me comforts, working hard to not show their own distress and fear
I see my face in the mirror and am shocked - who is this alien gaunt thing with huge eyes?
Nurses.........(can't say enough)
Pyjamas, mini modems, lip balm
Random conversations and connections
Realizing there is so much more kindness in humans than I've seen for a long time
