Friday 3 February 2012: Ole Blue Eyes

The Jackdaw has the most beautiful blue eyes which is only hinted at in this picture. They are also extremely skittish when at the feeders in the garden so the best way to watch them is through my kitchen window. Unfortunately this is not the best way to photograph them especially in dull conditions. The quest therefore goes on for a really sharp image.

On a bright note I had some Linnets on the thistle feeder today, the first ever recorded in my garden!
