About The Geeky Christian
Amateur photographer, gamer, student, roleplayer, graphic designer, boyfriend, Christian. Not necessarily in that order.
I'm going out with the amazing Zea. She's unique, beautiful, courageous, poetic, musical, firey... all in all pretty interesting. Visit her journal if you haven't already. ;)
I was not born but have been mostly raised in a large village near Worthing, West Sussex. We moved here for Dad's work when I was still just 1 year old. He's the pastor at the local Baptist Church, and has been for more than 20 years now! We weren't exactly planning to stay here this long but that's how it's worked out.
I'm currently studying at home for a Foundation Degree in e-Communications with the Sheffield College Online. Health problems mean that I haven't been able to attend university.
Over the years I've dabbled in various visual media (drawing, level design for games, web design & graphics, painting) but what I love most of all has to be photography. There's something about the instant moment of taking a photograph, and everything's there, without having to spend hours getting it to look right. Well, unless you shoot RAW, which is why I tend to avoid it when I can. It's nice simple JPEGs for me!
This journal is all about my life as a Christian with geeky tendencies and my many (often mundane!) adventures with my little Canon S90 (hence my username). Though I sometimes indulge in using my Nikon D40 as well.
