About foreshadowandlight
Art has been my passion since I was a kid, drawing anything I could think of in my room. Weaving was my focus for almost two decades and I still own a Leclerc 4 harness counter-balance loom, on long-term loan to another weaver for the past five years. I graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design in 1985 (OCA in those days). I started painting in acrylic and watercolours in recent years, as my two kids are spreading their wings. I am doing the degree completion program this year. Much to my surprise I love the studies!
I work full-time at a university and yearn for the day when I can devote more of my time and energy to artistic explorations. In the meantime, the camera is a way of quickly capturing moments and Blipfoto is a welcome opportunity to keep a journal of sorts and commune with visually-oriented others from all over whose work is awesome! It's also away to keep in touch with one of my closest friends (Bighill).
Thanks to the generosity of numerous Blip folks who have welcomed me to the site!
