Saturday 25 May 2013: Kites at the Castle
Today's the day .............................. to fly
It was a perfect day to fly a kite. Just as well because SmileFactor10 was putting on a free two-day event at Kendal Castle starting today.
There were all sorts of kites available to buy and fly. There was a Historical Interpreter and Storyteller entertaining visitors in the Castle grounds - but one of the highlights had to be the teddy parachuting.
Between 11.30am -1.00pm and 2.00pm - 4.00pm your favourite cuddly toy could parachute for just £1.00 per drop or if that would be too traumatic, you could choose one of their toys to parachute for you. Each toy received a signed certificate of his or her daring achievement.
A day to take to the skies ........................
