Saturday 25 September 2010: Reunion
25th September is normally a day I set aside for reflection and looking back on the past. This is usually because today is the anniversary of my mum's death - some 23 years ago.
However. today, although I have reflected on a lot of things in my past, this time it was for a different reason. Tonight I attended a reunion of my school mates - some 22 (and in some cases 24) years since we've seen one another. Because it isn't a day I normally choose to celebrate, I hesitated about going ... but I thought I might kick myself if I didn't go.
I'm glad I went - I caught up with a lot of people and my Facebook friends are growing by the hour, as are the (quite dreadful) photographs in which I'm being tagged!
Good times though, with a promise that it will all happen again in another 5 years. We'll see when the time comes ...
