Monday 1 March 2010: St Davids Day
I'm not a fan of dressing little babypeople for purposes of amusement but she'll be wearing this for future St Davids Days when she eventually starts school as its something they still do around these parts. And anyway it was handed to her with much love from her NainyNain so I couldn't let her first one slip by without wishing all the welsh folk out there a happyhappy one:
'Dydd Dewi Sant Hapus' from me and Little A :)

oh shoot! I've got a lot of PS to learn.. such an old fashioned film girl living in the modern age... thanks!

Eyes that can reduce humans to mere puddles. Amazing outfit. As long as you don't put weird wigs and props on her, go on, have a bit of fun. She'll love you for it when she's fifteen.

Hmmm. "...something they still do around these parts..." reads like you're trying to dissociate yourself by not saying "we". With you on the it's-a-person-not-a-canvas-for-amusing-slogans thing; you could get around the dressing-child-up-for-amusement problem by pretending to not find it amusing...

ooo yes I can see how that could be read, but we're not part of the thatthemthere lot for a couple of years yet at least (the thatthemthere lot being the various local village school brigades). As for the amusing thing, I've tried but I can't hide it as she makes me laugh many many times every single day (usually off her own bat but sometimes through a little bit of coaxing either in the form of me tickling or pulling faces or giving the peekaboos or dressing her up in an oversized welsh maid outfit. Oh and doing that almost on a daily basis (last night the arms of her top gathered either side of her head which looked not too dissimilar to the dancing girl from Return of the Jedi :D )).

That looks quite like confused terror. Wonder if any other species have evolved an appearing-highly-amusing-to-adults larval stage as a survival strategy?

haha dunno, 'tis a knockout strategy though. The look she gave was moments before she giggled harder than the giggliest of giggly things :)
