It was an early morning plan to visit an old part of the city to locate some pigeons.. and why that, has an interesting reason behind.
It was my first visit to a Mosque, at its vicinity. The place held people of all generations moving around in free spirits. It certainly had a sense of belonging; an identity that's preserved in this part of the city.
I kept taking pictures there, later to realize that the essence of the place was in being there and to observe all the little things that were taking place. But that's for later now.

in the Mecca masjid, it is always about being there. Do you know that some of the bricks used for the masjid are made of soil from Mecca? Also, the foundation stone was laid by none other than the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb?

Very well composed. Hard to believe the mosque looks so empty.

The architecture of the mosque is great and I like the tone.

thanks...yeah that might be a good idea actually. but folio allows only 5 categories so some reshuffling would be needed...let's see...I've a lot of time to think about it...no hurries :)
