La Spezia

I got up at 5.30 this morning. After leaving around 7am, I flew to Pisa from Eindhoven at noon. I arrived there safely with two suitcases, combined 44 kg, one hand baggage (10 kg) and a violin. I dragged all my stuff to the train from airport to Pisa Centrale and got there just in time to catch it. Luckily someone was nice enough to help me get all my bags on the train. Then at Pisa Centrale I had to switch trains and take the train to La Spezia. I went off the train and on the next train all by myself, carrying the two lighter bags first and then the heavy one. At La Spezia I was afraid I had to carry all of them down some stairs, but I saw there was a slope downwards to the city as well, so I dragged my bags behind me and walked from the station to my hotel, which is about 10-15 minutes without bags and not so great with all of them. I paid for my room and was shown to it and omg is this a crappy hotel. But there's a bed and a wardrobe and a sink, so it will do for the next couple of days. Tomorrow I am going to sign the contract for my apartment.

After settling in and freshing up, I went into La Spezia to buy food/breakfast at the supermarket. After that I just had to get out of the hotel again and wandered through La Spezia. I had an ice cream and then the sky started darkening up and I rushed back to the hotel. Just inside, I heard thunder and all hell broke loose. I did not even think about taking photos, felt quite depressed and went to read "Black Swan Green" 'cause I knew that would make me feel better. Great book so far.

Around 8pm it was starting to get dry, but I was too tired to go out for dinner. I just took some slices of the bread I'd bought and thought that'd do as dinner. About half an hour after that I went to bed because I felt too tired to read and I thought I could use the extra rest because I was not likely to sleep well anyway, first night in a hotel is never good for me.

So that was my day. As you might have noticed, I wrote this on Thursday, so onwards to tomorrow's blip!

PS Thanks for all your lovely comments over the past couple of days :)
