Tuesday 16 March 2010: Cascade Mountains
I flew over the Cascade Mountains today on my return flight from Seattle to Boston. It was a spectacular site, reminding me of all my fond childhood memories of skiing and hiking in the Cascades.
I've never been on a cross country flight that was so clear and filled with views. I could see Lake George and the Adirondacks over New York. I could see all the way up to Mt Washington in northern New Hampshire. The hook of the Cape was glorious as we descended into Boston.
Naturally, I slept over the Rocky Mountains because I fell asleep watching Tropic Thunder.
