Monday 29 March 2010: First Tracks

First tracks down in Schindler Kar, St. Anton am Arlberg after a couple of days where it has been closed, is not something that happends everyday, but we where lucky enough to have timed the lift, so there where just a handful of skiers in front of us. This is just before Easter 2010.

  1. It looks wonderful - has the chute on the left been formed by a bit of an avalanche?

  2. It's pretty steep up high and there are some natural chutes up there, the funny looking snow you see to the left of the tracks is what is called a loose snow avalanche and is caused by a mechanical release by the piste security guys.
