Thursday 2 September 2010: Derelict Places ...

I popped to see my Aunty Pauline this morning and at the back of her home is a derelict working area that hasnt been used for years so I decided after we left my Aunties that I would take some photographs of the area.

It has amazing textures, an awesome place for photography.

Thank you for all your amazing comments and clicks on my water image yesterday I am overwhelmed, I thought maybe you would be bored of them by now :) ... but I must admit I love doing them as you get sme really great effects.

  1. What a superb place to photograph! Gives me an itchy shutter finger just to look at it!

  2. This is positively wonderful! I love the geometry of this with the roof lines , slats, windows and walls. It does have a lot of texture and is only enhanced by the treatment in black and white. Would it be accurate to call this a desaturation of color? I'm still learning!

    FANTASTIC!

  9. Another lovely image from your trusty Olympus. I love the wat the three galvanised roofs line up in the manner of an oriental pagoda. I bet there's a pile of colour shots there for the taking too but this b/w is just gorgeous. At this size and resolution it's impossible to say, but I should think that this will print up something great. Big thumbs up from me.
