About Redridergirl

Hello everyone.

(I feel the need to say something totally poetic and awesome, like a little quote that represents me, and then talk about me in a non-boring and non-too-long way, but I really stink at doing that kind of thing, so here goes.)

Umm... I'm a 14 year old geek from Alaska (just if you hadn't figured that out... hehe). I waste my time doing nothing, reading, watching random videos on youtube, taking shots of random things with the Nikon D40 (thank you Scintilla, Calico, and Mr. and Mrs. Photonovice), occasionally blipping (which I will be better at, I will!), shopping, and riding.

I've got two boys, SH Commeuter and Red, who I've got the pleasure of owning.

Commeuter (aka Mooter) is a 16 year old, 14.2 hh registered (supposedly, but missing his official papers.) Egyptian/Polish Arabian (Bask line!). He is a total spaz and airhead sometimes (I know, those puddles have been known to swallow horses. And that bird is very scary, I know. And that pile of dirt, and...) but that makes riding more fun. He is very energetic and silly when he's goofing off, and loves to ride (provided he gets to gallop around with his head in the air and the bit in his teeth). I'm in the US Pony Club, which is really fun, and we recently rated D1 and D2. I prefer jumping (which is very scary sometimes on the back of a lion-hearted, avalanche-type-jumping horse). We don't like dressage so much, which I suppose we need to work on *sigh*.

Red was my first horse. He is about 22, and 15.3 hh. We think he is some sort of Morgan/QH type cross, but really don't know. He is the most grumpy old man you will ever see. He actually likes attention, but pretends not too because old men do not like attention. He bucks a lot, is really girthy and lazy, and is, in general, a pain. He's my baby. He still sleeps with his head in my lap sometimes.

Anyhoo, I just bored everyone to death. I'll stop now.
