Colour blind

Are you colour blind? I'm not thankfully, but I met a man today who is and this gave us a little problem with him agreeing the shading on some building materials that were supposed to match.

During the discussion that ensued, I established that his biggest problem was differentiating red and green which gave me the idea for today's blip.

I have photographed a vase of flowers which are all red with plenty of green foliage and a solitary yellow flower. So I decided to show the reds and greens in mono with the single yellow standing out on its own.

When this is done, you would struggle to pick out the reds and greens and would have to guess which is which based on the shapes of leaves and petals. This goes some way to showing me how my colleague sees these things too.

I didn't ask directly, but I really hope he can see some colours, such as my yellow, very brightly as there are plenty around us and I think they have a positive effect on us, whether we admit it or not.

Mid week already, woo hoo!
