this luminous life.

Candy Says.

The Velvet Underground.

Most of my life, I've never been a fan of Valentine's Day.
When I was a kid, I wasn't the one with the huge pile on my desk.
I never really had a boyfriend during the time of the year either,
except for last year (which was nice -- I surprise visited him),
so most of the time it was a huge "single's awareness" thing for me.
Now, I know I don't really have to pay attention to it,
and I try not to... but it's pretty much everywhere.
Even my RA has established a "LOVE NOTES" board,
with 'mailboxes' for each of us to leave each other notes in.
It's a nice thought... and I've received a few nice notes
(along the lines of "have a good week!" & "Laura has a pretty smile!")
but I'm not going to be leaving notes.
And I'm not sending out valentines.
I can tell you I love and appreciate you any day of the year.
Same thing goes for the holidays...
gifts and love can be exchanged any time.
I do appreciate the things I receive from my parents,
and some of my friends once in awhile, though. :)

I probably could've waited two days to write this,
but I figured it would go best with the candy,
which I received in a package from my parents today. <3

The only issue I had with arranging this photo
was that I kept eating the candy. Hehe.
(Sometimes hearts aren't that nice, though.)

25 more blips until my 500th...
