mi ami

britni and I went out to a crazy indie hipster club/flat/flop/subculture haven tonight on a whim after eating dinner at an afghan restaurant in Mount Vernon, Baltimore, MD. The place was very interesting and very, very fun, but getting there was very, very scary. We didn't take a cab, so we had to walk about 6 blocks through a relatively unsafe neighborhood with lots of abandoned buildings and homeless people (in fact, we think the club, called "Floristree", was a floor of an abandoned building before an artist collective bought it out). I'm glad we went, though.. it's nice to get a different perspective/broaden horizons.

This guy is the lead singer/guitarist in a band called Mi Ami" from San Francisco. They play some pretty crazy music and they're very fun to watch. If you're interested in their music, check out their myspace here.
