Jess & Molly Law

Our Garden

If you look at this photograph from 2004, you will see two things which we have been missing from our garden for several years - a windmill and a pheasant (or 'broon doo').

The windmill was given to us as a fun wedding present in 2002, and it birled happily in our garden until Jess came along. It was demolished immediately! We tried replacing it, but the replacements were also wrecked.

The pheasant-visitors lasted just a little longer, but not before (unfortunately) two of them were killed by Jess. After that, the avian estate agents took our property off their books. We still hear them frequently all around us, but rarely do they venture into the area given over to our monsters.

Yesterday, I decided to try a windmill once more. Within an hour, it was knocked flat - I did not see the culprit! I put it up again, however, and so far it has remained intact.

So I looked to get a blip today of the two of them admiring the windmill. As you can see, Jess is reconciled to it (a late convert to renewable energy?). Molly, of course, had to go exploring. At least she made her way round the windmill, rather than through it!

But I am in the doghouse! Jess & Molly were clean and ready to go to Mr **** (the groomer, whose name cannot be spoken aloud). Just as mrs jml is about to take them for their appointment, she finds that Molly is mucky, and I am to blame.

Still, I got my blip.
