Angel

Well here it is, one year of blips with only a couple of gaps. I don't believe I'm obsessed, but it does seem to be a way of life now. Some observations about the images of my life that I've posted over the last year - there are a few examples below.

Sentimental - recording my mother's first stroke, her fall and leaving her home to go to hospital, the move to her nursing home and finally her death in March. This year also marked the point where I have now lived longer than my father. In the background and little mentioned are my ongoing divorce proceedings which have strained the previously good relationships with my children meaning that pictures of them - previously prolific - are few and far between. As part of this process, I also had to move into a new flat. Tag Test

Humour - I always try to capture the ridiculous and offbeat wherever possible. If I'd known how many ponces there are, I'd have made more of an effort! Tag Test

Improving - I think the Unstaged competition made me realise that good photographs have to be clean and uncluttered. After seeing the winners, I put more effort into achieving this. I also try to learn from others by subscribing.

Style - I don't really think I have one - all my images are quite varied. Tag Test

Community - I have many more subscriptions than subscribers. My postings are usually fairly brief but I will wax lyrical when the mood takes me. I do appreciate comments and I am always interested in the other journals. I've been to a couple of informal blip-meets and everyone seems to be great company. I'd like to meet up with other Glasgow blippers so I'll try and arrange something soon.

As usual - fulsome praise to the Blipcentral team for the whole thing - marvellous.

A very special mention to my girlfriend - despite our long distance relationship she is absolutely central to my survival - hence today's blip. She gave me this simple card and I now return the sentiments - thank you for being my wee soulmate and a Friend Reunited. I love you loads.

So onwards and upwards - perhaps clearer water ahead but whatever life throws at me, I'll be taking a picture of it! Best wishes to all - Chris.
