Big Buddha

Today we took a new team to Big Buddha.

Known among Thais as the Phra Puttamingmongkol Akenakkiri Buddha in full, it is 25 meters across at the base & 45 meters tall. It can be seen from very far away. The whole body is layered with beautiful white Burmese marble that shines in the sun, making it a natural symbol of hope. The views, and the actual image itself are all breathtaking.

You are able to see many of the surrounding islands and beautiful cities/beaches. It is a saying around here that 'God spent extra time on Phuket" It is simply breathtakingly beautiful.

If you watch the tourists, they are captured by the beauty of God's creation and not of the statue behind them
