Fixed????

I've been having difficulty getting into the right boot of my drysuit, closer inspection revealed the towelling material used to line the boot had come away from the neoprene and was getting rucked up everytime I tried to put my foot in.

A call to the manufacturers & they said they'd fix it under the warranty, great! Since I was in Yorkshire anyway, I dropped the suit off at the manufacturers then went for lunch at the Blackamoor outside Ripon, with the folks and my Aunt.

A lovely lunch and great to catch up with the Nth Yorks branch of the family.

Back to Bradford on the way home to collect "fixed" suit. Somewhat disappointed to find that they'd stretched the material liner and stuck down some of it round the top of the boot. This leaves some of the liner free of the boot - which will take all the strain when I put the boot on - and caused the boot to pucker in two directions.

The boot on the right is "fixed". I did explain I have a lot of diving coming up and that I'd be very disappointed to miss any of it because of the boot failing again (which seems inevitable). Their answer "Well if it happens again send it back and we'll probably replace the boot. If it arrives on the Monday we should have it back to you on the Friday"

Hmmm - really won't be happy with that if I miss a week of diving . . . don't think I'll be buying my next suit there!
