spent the evening, in the front row, at the Arlington City Council meeting to show my support in favor of expanding the bicycling infrastructure there, a scant but necessary 16 some miles (out of thousand(s) of square miles). the plan barely passed, 5-4, in favor of this expansion and, finally, steps are now being made in the correct direction. but i just got in (the public from the pro and con sides each exchanged arguments for several long hours) and need to get to bed so will keep this short.

this is Bernie, co-owner of Trinity Bicycles (Fort Worth) and Acme Bike Company (Arlington), in his yellow shirt (we all had them in solidarity) adding his two minutes to the impassioned discussion tonight, speaking before the mayor and the city council. i would like to say that 'we' did it but my part in all of this was extremely minimal. but it is my road too. so, i just ride on, that's my role.
