Norwich Pride banner's first outing

Here it is - the finished Norwich Pride banner, lovingly stitched over several months by lots of people (including me). It includes several iconic Norwich buildings and many, many individual 'mini-me's' that people have made of themselves. The sewing group 'Sew Gay met in the Forum library on several Saturdays, the sessions were held in an open space and were publicised so that people could join in informally and make their 'mini-me' and at the same time learn about Pride.

The Chair of this year's Norwich Pride was keen that the banner make it's public debut at today's demo against the cuts so here it is, proudly held by Shell, the Pride Collective Arts Team Leader and De, Norwich Pride Vice Chair. And on Saturday we take it to London Pride. It's going to be fab!

And in case you're wondering: Norwich Pride is on 30th July - it's the third year and is going to be wonderful.
