Day 2 - Madrid to Nerja

As I said yesterday, we landed at the Aeropuerto de Bajaras at around 7h30. It's a beautiful brand new airport. After picking up our luggage and our rented car, we were on the road by 8h30. I fired the GPS to go to Nerja and we were on our merry way on the A-4. The weather is perfect, sunny and around 20C.

At first I was surprised to find such an arid landscape, but the closer we were getting to the coast, it was becoming very mountainous and lush. It took between 5 and 6 hours to reach our destination. The keys were where there were supposed to be. The apartment was a bit smaller than I had imagined from the pictures.

Lisa and I went to the grocery store and picked up beer and wine and a few other things I think. After drinking a few of those we were ready for bed.

We were excited all the way that close to 200 pictures were taken in that relatively short period of time. I think for me the most amazing sight of the day was the roads construction, the incredible places they pass the road.

Here you will find 64 pictures of that first day in Spain and second day of our trip. They were taken while driving, except for a very few, through the windows and lots of time have reflections.
