I went to the orthopedic doctor today, for a check on the finger.

The news was good - the fracture is small, and everything seems to be healing well.

The doctor said if I were a construction worker, and needed tough fingers, he might suggest a skin graft to replace the missing piece, but thankfully, as a video editor/photographer, I don't really need or want tough, calloused fingertips.

So, I guess, all I can say is - yay. All should be well at some point in the future, if I can just stop accidentally bumping it on hard objects long enough for it to heal.



After the appointment, we went to Britton's little league game, where the shot above was taken. He was supposed to pitch, but something happened and he ended up on first base instead. I'm not sure why - I don't really understand the intricacies of little league positioning. Can you tell I've never had any children?
