a young himalayan female has been living in our house since couple of weeks, she's new and permanent spouse to our Archie, who appears to be a persian gentleman of significant importance and therefore will be introduced to blip on his own, family portraits are also coming...





story behind

about two weeks ago when the weather in the city was already hot but still too dangerous for your health if you would even start thinking of jumping into summer clothes, I was lying on the floor in my studio sipping a cold strawberry milk shake out of my favorite glass while idly surfing the net and suddenly... (but not unexpectedly) another series of sexually inspired bites from Archie started on me again, it was the point when I decided to do the right thing for my cat

got on a phone and found out where I can get a female for him quickly, it worked out in a purchasing of this lovely animal and Rihanna would be her new name

as not been too obsessed with cats propaganda in the past (which is sad, 'cause Archie is almost 10 years old now) I went online and became an excellent over-one-night-persian-cat-expert, my god there is always so much to learn about them animals...

persian cat comes from Persia (easy guess, isn't?) among domestic animals they appear to be one of the most popular in the world, they are very quiet and warm-tempered, have amazing eyes and fur which both require some of your additional attention, I think it is also because of their eyes and fur people would have them

there are two types of faces a persian could have: one is a doll face (Archie) the other is called flat face (Rihanna), I used to like a doll face more before but changed my mind after I had seen how impressive the flat one really looks (one look is a thousand pictures worth) eyes of a persian cat are yellow and they look a bit larger on that flat wide type of face

himalayan breed is a mixture of persian and siam breeds, it is as I would say a persian with siam features which are blue eyes and those minor bits of dark all over them which are added to prime color, another name for them would be a color-point persian, they come in a variety of colors, Riahnna for instance is a chocolate-cream one

I still do not know how better to describe my feelings when I brought her home, think I was more happier than Archie was... now after two weeks have passed, think it's been working out quite alright, Archie is calm again and she's been eating more than usual but I don't see any signs of pregnancy yet, just between us... I can't wait to blip a band of young "pussycat dolls" in my kitchen...

if anybody to read this would happen to know more interesting facts on persian cat theme I would appreciate them greatly... 'cause there's nothing better than a better quality of life (and not only for cats, of course;)

alright, enough of cat expertise on my blip and back to photography... immediately after a sunbeam sneaked into the kitchen this morning I took about 40 shots of the young beauty and on today's blip you're viewing an exhibition expression she seldomly shows (when almost never) mostly you would see her sitting around with a whazzup face like this, this or here is my favorite shot of Lady R posing on the chair and here is another one you will like

now... on those pictures you can observe her as a really young cat (who she really is) but if we take the magic of her fur along with a different shooting perspective we can see how she will look in a couple of years

and... to complete first cat introduction on my blip I must not forget about Rihanna's personality, so... here we go...

- she eats a lot!!! fresh beaf, cooked chicken, wiskas jellies... (gets really crazy about those wiskas packages getting opened, fridge sound too)))
- now she can jump up at height of 85 cm to get to her food
- I believe she has a strong ability for catching mice (Archie would never even think about it)
- very active and curious, sniffing around like a super-trooper-sniffing-machine of the latest model...
- she likes to get a proper cat massage (isn't it true for all pussycats??)
- likes to have her fur combed and during this procedure she sounds as if her most sacred dream would come true... ( I am serious... she nearly jumps up out of excitement when she sees or hears a brush...)
- what else... likes to play (she still young, remember!!)
- and of course almost all of the time you can find her resting peacefully on the windows, chairs, tables, etc. (loves to find a fresh towel on those spots)
- she has sensitive teeth that require additional attention (I was completely blown away by the fact of a cat having his teeth brushed... now I'm ok with that too...)
- has a strange voice, reminds me of an oldest crown in the world screaming with almost insulting and outrageous intention (something like: you there, give me food, NOW!!!) if you would hear it you could also think that her mother was hell of a smoker... (funny but it's true:)
- yes, her tongue is slightly extended (first I thought she was thirsty but even after drinking enough she still keeps it that way... have no idea what it means but it is surely another funny little thing about her you just can't miss)

it is a true pleasure for me to make you meet such a furry acquaintance today, but I have another small story to tell

here is what I managed to capture while looking through national geographic website... (think I was sipping something at that moment too... ;)) do not know the name of that bird (???) but there were couple of them making noise while white Archie was enjoying fresh air........ I've heard them, rushed to see what was going on, mechanically took the camera with me, quietly grabbed a chair and got couple of shots... few seconds later they were gone... 'twas quite a quick experience for me, I must say..... and another interesting detail that will stay in my mind successfully blipped

what else? stay tuned for me and my updates, I know they've become quite rear lately but on the other hand I tend to make them bigger, have fun taking pictures, stay pet-friendly and remember
