a pretty underrated medium. I just picked this turntable up last week at a flea market/church benefit sale for 20 bucks.. with working cartridge and stylus. The only problem is that the belt is a little warped, but that can be easily replaced.

It's cool to hear pure, analog sound.. it's somehow more "real" than digital.

Tomorrow a big old shipment of brand new records comes in: Oh, Inverted World, Chutes Too Narrow, and Wincing the Night Away by The Shins; In The Aeroplane Over The Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel; and Vampire Weekend (eponymous). I'm pretty excited to encode them into FLAC and then just listen to them spin.
