The Bride and Groom

The groom. A friend from University. We have shared many occasions, and even more drams, over the years. When I lived near Cambridge, he was part of a circle of Edinburgh ex-pats in the south, and I miss seeing him so often now I'm back up North.

The bride. We first met her at our own wedding in 2005, and she entered into the occasion with great gusto in spite of knowing hardly anyone else there. We knew then we had found a new friend.

I wish them all the best for their marriage, and I thank them for inviting us to share their big day with them, and their families.

It was a truly epic celebration.
