As I sit here, writing (well, trying and failing to) and browsing, a fly is causing me untold distress by landing on or around me at disturbingly frequent intervals. It has been alternating its landing strategy using my mouse, my hand, my screen and my beer where it stayed just under the ring pull for about ten seconds deftly dodging my tactic of trying to blow it into the dregs.

It can't be killed with the only implement I have to hand, namely an artist's cutting board. I may have to bring out the heavy stuff in a minute, or Pif Paf to use the proper term.

Two minutes later...

Dead.
