Creepy

I went on a goose nest survey today at my local National Wildlife Refuge. We boat up and down the Snake River, checking the various islands for Canada Goose nests (as well as platforms), mark the occupied nests, count the number of eggs, remark if the eggs are alive or dead (warm or cold), and note depredated nests. Then, in the first week of May, we go back to see which of the nests were successful.

Today I came across this skull and instead of posting a happy "nest with eggs" photo, I worked this one up.
