Smug Daddy

A nice trip through to Rutherglen tonight after work to see Steven, Eliza, and the newest addition to the household, Eve (born on Christmas Eve as it happens). Utterly remiss of me not to have made it to see them until now, Steven being my 'hetero life partner' (we were trying to work out what this made me to Eve, 'huncle' perhaps). Steven and I will likely end up like the two old guys in Still Game.

All my friends seem to be getting sprogged up at the moment, which is most disconcerting, and it's my second baby blip in 4 days. And I don't even like kids! Actually, that's not necessarily true - we managed to bore Eve to sleep with our usual movie chat, so there was a quiet that lulls you into a false sense of security.

By the way, if the pic above has a sort of 70s colour quality to it, that was entirely intentional (for no reason other than I wanted to try). If it doesn't, then I didn't manage it... Tomorrow's looking like a busy day. Got to get the latest issue of the website online. Mostly written already, but needs pulling together, so I can sense a late one.

In other news, I received a magazine with my second ever paid-for (when I'm paid) writing gig in it today. I believe that now means I have a portfolio.
